NOTE: Together we endeavor to inspire our students not to fear life's challenges, but to respect and grow from them - to ride the wave, to strive for knowledge, and occasionally, dare to walk to the end of the board and hang ten.

Tiffany Rudek - Principal

Hello Hermosa Valley School community!

It is my sincere pleasure to serve as your principal of Hermosa Valley School. I began my educational career in 1989 working as a classroom aide for the Princeton Montessori School in Princeton, New Jersey. Once I had obtained my New Jersey teaching credential I began teaching for the Hopewell Valley School District in Hopewell, New Jersey. Since then I have taught students from pre-school through the 6th grade.

Prior to coming to Hermosa I served as Principal of Peter Burnett School and the Coordinator for Curriculum and Instruction for the Wiseburn School District. From 1998 to 2005 I worked for the Redondo Beach Unified School District as a classroom teacher, Staff Developer/BTSA Coordinator and Principal.

My educational background includes earning my Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin and Marshall College and my Masters in Administration from the University of La Verne. Currently I am working on earning my Doctorate in Teaching and Learning from Walden University.

I grew up in a small town right outside of Princeton, New Jersey called Pennington. In 1991 I followed my brother out to sunny California and never left! I have been a resident of the beach cities for over 20 years. My husband, Mike, and I bought our home in Hermosa Beach in 1999, the same year our first daughter, Savannah, was born. We have another daughter, Alexis, who is currently in the third grade.

Like many Hermosa residents we support our public schools and believe that the educational opportunities offered in the Hermosa Schools are outstanding. We have found that the teachers and staff are of the highest quality and work extremely hard to ensure that all students learn, and are extremely thankful for the wonderful parental and community support here at Hermosa Valley.

Communication between home and school is extremely important for student success. I welcome the opportunity to meet with parents. Feel free to call, email or stop by to schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you to continue making Hermosa Valley School the best school in the South Bay and beyond!

Respectfully,

Tiffany Rudek
