Tiffany Rudek - Principal
Hello Hermosa Valley School community!
It is my sincere pleasure to join you here at Hermosa Valley School and to serve as your principal. I began my career in education in 1989 as a classroom aide for the Princeton Montessori School in Princeton, New Jersey. Once I had obtained my New Jersey teaching credential I began teaching for the Hopewell Valley School District in Hopewell, New Jersey. I have taught students from pre-school through the 6th grade.
For the past three years I have served as Principal of Peter Burnett School as well as the Coordinator for Curriculum and Instruction for the Wiseburn School District. Prior to that I was Principal of Beryl Heights School, Staff Developer/BTSA Program Coordinator and a classroom teacher for the Redondo Beach Unified School District
I grew up in a small town right outside of Princeton, New Jersey called Pennington. In 1991 I followed my brother out to sunny California and never left! I have been a resident of the beach cities for over 20 years. My husband, Mike, and I bought our home in Hermosa Beach in 1999, the same year our first daughter, Savannah, was born. We have another daughter, Alexis, who is in the first grade at View.
Like many Hermosa residents we support our public schools and believe that the educational opportunities offered in the Hermosa Schools are outstanding. We have found that the teachers and staff are of the highest quality and work extremely hard to ensure that all students learn.
My hobbies include collecting and selling estate jewelry, American Art Pottery, Staffordshire Pottery and other antiques. In fact, since 1996 I have been a dealer at Starts Antiques in Hermosa Beach. My girls and I also enjoy horseback riding, and own a horse in P.V. You can find us up there every weekend enjoying the beautiful trails, jumping around the rings and mucking out the stall.
I look forward to getting further acquainted with each of you and to working with you, your children, the staff and other members of this community in supporting the quality educational program at Hermosa Valley School. Feel free to contact me via email, phone, or just stop by.
