Hermosa Valley 2 - 5 Choir

Hermosa Valley 2nd-5th Grade Choir- Mrs. Stadler, Music Director

The Valley Choir, under the direction of Ms. Debbie Stadler, consists of Valley students, grades 2 through 5, who volunteer their lunchtime recess, every Tuesday, to be part of the group.  Choir is a performance group that prepares songs, student introductions, singing solos, instrument parts, 2-part singing, etc., and represents Hermosa Valley School in song.  The group focuses on presenting a good choral sound, enunciating the words, singing with proper breath support, singing two-part harmony, all with a smile on their hearts!  Their enthusiasm is contagious!!

Every December, the Choir performs at the “Tree Lighting Ceremony” for the City of Hermosa Beach, the Hermosa Beach Rotary Club, the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis/Easter Seals Kids, as well as for the entire community at the Hermosa Beach Playhouse.  This year the children earned an ICE CREAM PARTY, complete with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and toppings, for singing especially well this past winter!  In April, we usually perform for the Hermosa Beach Women’s Club (however this year’s meeting is during our spring break.)  Finally, in the Spring we will perform for the Hermosa Beach Rotary (May 20th) and at the Hermosa Beach Playhouse (May 21st) for our final performance of the year.  And we start again in the fall.  No auditions necessary; just a commitment and a willing heart.
