Subject: Language Arts

Hobbies: Tennis, swimming, running, yoga, skiing( both water and snow), Bicycling, art-painting and drawing, reading, going to the movies, and watching my kids' soccer.

Course Information: The focus of my Language Arts program is to explore all facets of the English language. Areas of literature include non-fiction, informational prose, world literature (folk tales, fables, poetry, and fiction). Focus on word power (spelling and vocabulary), Grammar, and Writing: autobiographical/memoir; expository, narrative, persuasive, summary, descriptive and research. Students will become literate; more organized and they will develop the necessary skills to become self-directed learners
Evaluation is based on class participation, tests, quizzes, homework, reading logs, writing assignments and writing notebook.
