Welcome to my webpage! Before coming to Hermosa Beach I taught kindergarten, fourth, and sixth grades. In 1996 I started teaching third grade in Hermosa Valley and quickly discovered Hermosa Beach is the best place to work! There are so many great families I have met throughout the years. From 2003-2006 I taught fifth grade, which was a wonderful experience. Currently I am teaching fourth grade and absolutely love it!

This year the fourth grade teachers will be rotating social studies and science classes, which allows the students to experience a variety of teaching styles. I feel this will better prepare the students for fifth grade. It's exciting for me to have the opportunity to meet so many students at Hermosa Valley!

There are a few hobbies I enjoy when I'm not at work. I have quite a strong sweet tooth, so I like to spend my free time baking cakes and cookies. I have even won a blue ribbon award for my cookies at the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair. But all this cooking and eating leads me to my next hobby, walking. I walk about 35 miles a week, either on the strand, through the hills of Palos Verdes, or on a treadmill. I also like to garden, read, and spend time with my husband and two sons.
