I was born and raised in Pennsylvania in a small town much like Hermosa Beach (without the ocean, of course!).  I moved to Washington D.C. where I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from American University and a master's degree in clinical psychology from George Washington University.  After living 11 years in D.C., three in New York City and 2 in La Jolla, I moved to Hermosa Beach and finally felt at home.  I am extremely fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful and supportive community.

This is my fourth year teaching fifth grade and I am so excited to be working with such a talented team.  Fifth grade is challenging, fast-paced, and lots of fun!  Organization, responsibility, and time-management are major areas of focus as we prepare our students for their successful transition to middle school.

When I'm not teaching or grading papers, I cherish spending my free time with my husband, son, and two Boston Terriers.
