Kevin Kassebaum is from Sonoma County but has lived in the South Bay for over twelve years.  He has served as the Assistant Principal at Hermosa Valley School since September 2006.  Prior to that he spent three years as the Assistant Principal at Manhattan Beach Middle School and has also worked as an Elementary Assistant Principal in the Hawthorne School District.  His middle school teaching experience includes teaching seventh grade world history in the Beverly Hills Unified School District as well as teaching United States history in the Paramount Unified School District.

Mr. Kassebaum holds a B.A. in History from Sonoma State University and an M.S. in School Administration from Pepperdine University.  Mr. Kassebaum is married and has been able to travel extensively with his wife.  His most recent trip was to Japan during Thanksgiving Break.  While in Kyoto, he fatefully crossed paths with two Hermosa Valley students who were also on break in Japan!  In his spare time he likes to read nonfiction books, watch movies and garden.
