Welcome to fifth grade!

I am thrilled to be at Valley School for a another year and I look forward to teaching, learning, and growing with you.
I have lived in Southern California for nearly ten years and grew up in Massachusetts, specifically Cape Cod. I came to California to attend college and fell in love with this area. Prior to becoming a part of the "Valley Family", I spent several years working in marketing. I left that career to pursue my love of teaching. In 2006 I received my Master's of Art in Education and my California teaching credential from Pepperdine University.

I am dedicated to providing a nurturing and productive environment where we all feel safe and focused. I believe that an atmosphere where everyone has a sense of stability, safety, and belonging provides the best opportunity to participate in authentic and meaningful learning. From this place, we can approach our tasks with clear hearts and minds and have greater resources to devote to worthwhile endeavors .
