Originally from San Diego, I received my Bachelor Degree in Music Education and California Teaching Credential from the University of Southern California. For post-graduate work, I earned Levels I, II and III Orff-Schulwerk Music Certification from University of Las Nevada, Las Vegas, and Level I of Kodaly Music Certification from California State University, Long Beach. I was honored to receive the 2002 Music Educator of the Year from the Los Angeles County Music Education Association. I enjoy bike riding, musicals, plays, concerts, art exhibits, and going to shows. I also direct two handbell choirs at my church and freelance as a professional flutist.
