Kim Taylor - 6th Language Arts and 7th Social Studies Email:ktaylor@hbcsd.org - Students Click Here for My Webpage Hello! From there, I attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and obtained my Secondary Education Degree with an emphasis in Literature and English. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher! I come from a strong family line of teachers! So after graduation, I started my job search and ended up in Redlands, California. Realizing all too quickly that the distance to the beach was too far, I quickly began researching districts in the South Bay. I was lucky enough to find Hermosa where I began teaching in 1998. After several years at Hermosa, I made a move up to Northern California, where I taught Middle School in Tiburon. Being away from home for too long (according to my family), I decided it was time to return to the Windy City! In Chicago, I worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Eli Lilly and Company. After 4 years, I decided that my passion was still in education and I needed to get back into the classroom. I convinced my husband to make the move back to the South Bay in 2007 and started teaching 6th Grade Language Arts and 7th Grade Social Studies at Hermosa Valley. I am so proud to be apart of the Hermosa School District! It is truly an amazing place to raise a family, go to school as a student, and to teach there. I am so lucky to have found Hermosa and even luckier to have found my way back! |
