Hi, my name is Krista Jensen, and I teach kindergarten at Hermosa View. I consider it a privilege to work with children, and I'm honored to working at such an amazing school where parents and teachers collaborate to make each day truly meaningful.

This will be my fifth year of teaching and my first year at Hermosa View School. Born and raised in southern California, I headed to Vanderbilt University to earn my teaching credential in both Early Childhood and Special Education. Upon graduation, I moved to New York where I taught kindergarten for three years in the Bronx, NY. While in New York, I attended NYU for my Masters degree in literacy and worked for one year as a Reading Specialist.

Even though the experience I gained as a Reading Specialist was invaluable, I missed being in the classroom and am excited to be back teaching kindergarten this year!

When I'm not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and hiking.
