My name is Amanda Johnson. I hope to work closely with parents to make this year a productive one for your child. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself. I have taught first grade in San Antonio, Texas since August of 2002. I have lived in San Antonio for over 20 years and have just recently married and relocated to El Segundo. I am so blessed to have an amazing husband and family. I enjoy being at the beach, running, spending time with family and friends, shopping and traveling. I received a Bachelor of Science in Education with a Specialization in Early Childhood from Baylor University in May 2002.

I want to make my classroom a fun, challenging and encouraging place to be. I believe every student is unique and special. I want to uplift my students daily so they can have confidence in every step they take. I really enjoy working with children and seeing the joy in their eyes when they first begin to read! I look forward to an unforgettable year!
