We are excited to announce that the Hermosa Beach City School District has been awarded the California Pivotal Practice Award. Our application was selected for our unique achievements in social-emotional wellness and academic intervention during the 2020-2021 school year. HBCSD is 1 of 24 district winners in Los Angeles County and 121 in the state (about 1,200 in California). This is the replacement/equivalent of the California Distinguished Award. We are truly honored and grateful for this incredible recognition. This is all possible because of the outstanding efforts of our teachers and staff who took on leadership roles and worked tirelessly to maximize learning time, putting student support above all else. We are proud of our teachers and staff who went above and beyond during very challenging times and their ongoing resilience and can-do spirit. Thank you for making us the Best Little Beach Schools.
